There Hope Yet!
Lately the conversations between our team and dealers have revealed an early stage desire to be transparent. In the down turn of the market dealers are looking for more ways to develop a relationship with consumers. However, in order for dealers to create a trust base relationship they must allow consumers to contribute to the sell process. I call it the Dell effect. Dell’s claim to fame was the strategy to build-to-order, consumers would request specific features and Dell would build it. This reduced unwanted inventory and cost. Therefore, dealers need to listen to the feedback of the consumers and change accordingly in order to reduce cost and increase sales.
